Taekwondo Coaching Accreditation
Taekwondo Australia’s Coach Accreditation structure is focused on delivering courses with the highest quality of presenters, resources and ongoing professional development. Coaching courses are designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills of Sport Taekwondo in order to understand design and apply Taekwondo programs using basic to advance training principles to prepare and improve athlete’s sports performance from either beginner or advance level.
The continued development of coaches is underpinned as a result of coach reaccreditation processes and commitment to renew annual membership of Taekwondo Australia.
Recognised accreditation has become a basic prerequisite for aspiring coaches in Australia to coach at Taekwondo Australia endorsed state, national and international events. Accredited coaches maintain their professional values through practicing the agreed code of behavior. Taekwondo Australia together with the state/territory associations offers a range of national accredited courses that are developed to suit coaches at a range of levels.
There is currently one level of recognised Coaching Accreditation plus a level titled 'Orientation to Coaching'. The other levels are currently under development.
