
The Coaching Committee currently consists of eight (8) state and territory coaching coordinators and the Sports Education and Development Manager. Committee members act to ensure that coaches within the Association are fully accredited and have up to date skills and knowledge of sports Taekwondo in order to understand, design and apply Taekwondo programs using basic and advanced training principles.
Recognised accreditation has become a basic prerequisite for aspiring coaches in Australia to coach at Taekwondo Australia endorsed state, national and international events. The Committee ensures that accredited coaches maintain their professional values through practicing the agreed code of behavior.
We uphold the following intrinsic values, dubbed the “Spirit of Sport” which embodies the essence of Taekwondo and what it means to be a Taekwondo practioner. We maintain that the “spirit of sport” is the celebration of the human spirit, body and mind and is exemplified by the following values:
