
The National Sports Committee currently consists of two (2) coach representatives and two (2) board members - whose role is to oversee the functioning of the committee and act as a direct pathway to the Board. Committee members act to ensure that clear policies and pathways are in place to facilitate a sustainable environment for Taekwondo athletes, coaches and sports officials.
The committee's role is to develop policies, sustainable pathways and programs which create an environment within which a quality Taekwondo experience can be achieved by participants at all levels. This ensures that Taekwondo Australia can offer a sport which participants and officials can embrace, be part of, own and play a role in.
The Committee’s vision is for Taekwondo to be the activity of first choice by Australians through increased participation, program excellence and continual outstanding achievements. This is to be achieved through the following strategies:
