What is the Technical Committee?

 

The Technical Committee currently consists of nine (9) reresentatives  being one senior ranked person from each State/Territory and the National Technical Development Officer, who is an ex officio.

The State/Territory representatives act to ensure that the Coaches and Students within their regions are given the opportunity to have access to the latest up to date changes to technical issues and to participate in Seminars and Accreditations for advancing our performances, our skills and the Art.

 

Purpose

Recognised accreditation and training for technical coaches/judges has become a basic prerequisite for aspiring coaches/judges in Australia, to be involved at the competition level, be it Local, State/Territorial, National or International events.

It is the task of the committee to encourage the improvement of all involved, within this aspect of our Art, at every level while following the Association’s professional code of conduct and behaviour.

 

Technical Committee: Key Facts and Roles

 The Committee’s Role is to:-

  • Develop technical specific coaching presentation courses to the highest levels through education and standardisation.
  • Develop technical specific judging courses, to all levels through education and standardisation.
  • Develop technical specific seminars for student improvement through education and standardisation
  • To ensure a fair and just competition environment for competitors and officials in the pursuit of competition excellence.
  • To provide an honest and supportive voice for competitors and coaches within the Taekwondo Australia framework.
